LEAGUE BOUNDARIES

According to Little League rules, players must reside OR attend a school located within our specified league catchment area in order to be eligible to play baseball at Hastings Community Little League.  Hastings Community Little League holds the charter for a geographic area that covers parts of East Vancouver and North Burnaby. For a map showing the Hastings Community Little League residence eligibility league boundaries, click this link: League Boundaries.

A player will be deemed to reside within the league boundaries if:
a) his/her parents are living together and are residing within such league boundaries or either of the player’s parents (or his/her court-appointed legal guardian) resides within such boundaries. "Residence," "reside" and "residing" refers to a place of bona fide continuous habitation.
-OR-
b) the player attends a school within HCLL's league boundaries.

Returning players who have moved out of the geographic boundaries for Hastings Community Little League will be grandfathered and remain eligible to play at HCLL, but must provide all required information to the league administrators.

If you do NOT live or attend a school within Hastings Community Little League's boundaries, you can check the following Little League programs to see if you qualify within their geographic areas:

Proof of Residence
Residence shall be established and supported by documents from THREE OR MORE of the following categories to determine residency of parent(s) or guardian(s):

 1. Driver’s License
 2. Vehicle Registration
 3. School records
 4. Internet, cable or satellite records.
 5. Local (municipal) records
 6. Homeowner or tenant records
 7. Utility bills (i.e. gas, electric, phone, mobile phone)
 8. Financial Records (loan, credit, investments, etc.)
 9. Insurance documents
10. Medical records
11. Voter's Registration
12. Employment records

Three utility bills (three items from No. 7 above) constitute only ONE document. Players and their parents/guardians are advised that a false statement of residence may lead to ineligibility to play Little League Baseball.

Proof of School Attended
If a player is basing his/her eligibility on attending a school within HCLL's league boundaries, then a document providing proof of current school being attended such as a report card or school enrollment form must be presented.

If the claim for residency is challenged, three of the above materials must be submitted to Little League Baseball, Incorporated, with an affidavit of residency from the parent(s) or guardian(s), which shall decide the issue, and that decision will final and binding. Residency documents must illustrate that the residence (as defined above) was inside the league’s boundaries for at least one-half of the regular season (as of June 15 of the year in question).
