We do require a criminal record check that includes a vulnerable sector record check from our online ministry of justice process or the police department of your home residence.
In addition to the traditional format far below, the ONLINE PROCESS that only takes 2-3 days from the Ministry of Justice to send back approval is right below and is our preferred method. These checks are valid for five years. The link and passwords for applying online are as follows:

PAPER/MANUAL CRC'S are free in North Vancouver (and may be in other jurisdictions) as long as they accompany our letter requesting your volunteer time to coach in our league. Please print this email and bring it with you.
The RCMP in North Vancouver has forms available at their front desk which take 5-10 minutes to fill out and require two pieces of Goverment ID, one with a picture. SIN and Care Cards are no longer accepted. Birth Certificates, Driver's License and/or Passports are accepted.
Processing time with no complications is currently running at 2-3 weeks and will be returned by mail to your address. Please then forward the original to The North Vancouver Spring Flag Football League, 4774 Hoskins Road, North Vancouver, V7K 2R1 at your earliest convenience.

The holder of this letter is being considered as a volunteer in the North Vancouver Spring Flag Football League and in that role, will have regular and ongoing involvement with students in grades 1-12 in a coaching capacity from April 1st until June 30th, 2024.
As one means of ensuring the safety of our participants, a criminal record check and a vulnerable sector check is required. Because this candidate is serving the district in a capacity of an unpaid volunteer, we kindly request that the RCMP waive their normal fee for this service.
The prospective volunteer is a resident in your municipality and has the required photo identification and address verification.
