- Submitted by
Game #6 Red Team vs. Black Team #1
Black Team No. 1 beat the Red Team 2-1 on last second heroics by returner Zach Saar. Saar would score the game winning goal with only 10 seconds remaining in the game.  Sean Keating started in net for Black Team No. 1 and made a number of nice saves. His counterpart Chris Truel for the Red Team was just as good though and for much of the first period there was no score. The Red Team kept on getting chances and with just under two minutes remaining in the period Jack Jenkins would score to give the Red Team a 1-0 lead heading into the second period.
The second period would feature two new goalies. Chase Wilson was solid for Black but Seth Edeen had a rough go as he allowed the game tying and game winning goals. It would be James McNamara tying the game for Black and Zach Saar with the critical strike with only 10 seconds remaining to give Black Team No.1 the win.

Game #7  Maroon Team vs. Blue Team
The Maroon team outlasted the Blue team 3-2 in the second game of the day using a late goal to grab the win. The end result not with standing, Blue goaltender William Christopoulos was excellent making a number of saves as the Maroon team controlled long stretches of the game. Meanwhile, Maroon netminder Jeff Salinas had some key saves, particularly in the second half when he denied some odd-man rushes.
Jake Mullendore gave the Blue Team a 1-0 lead with 14:05 remaining in the first half with a wrist shot snipe from the right circle.  The Maroon team countered when Sam Majtka picked up a fumbled puck in the slot and scored with 9:54 left in the half.

The Blue team recaptured the lead early in the second half on Matt McMorrow’s shot from below the right circle with 15:38 left. However, only two minutes later Miles Manson evened the score for the Maroon team when his shot from the goal line extended snuck inside the short side post.

The Maroon team grabbed their only lead, and the game winner, with three minutes left as 2011 Bucs’ Futures pick Joey Palumbo scored from the slot. Shaunak Pal’s shot from the right circle in the final seconds was denied preserving the win for Maroon.

Game #8 Black Team #3 vs. Grey Team
Patrick Grasso scored two goals as Black Team No. 3 defeated the Grey team 3-0. Grasso set the tone early for Black beating Niko DellaMaggiore in the first minute of play to give Black a 1-0 lead. DellaMaggiore would be solid for the rest of the period turning away a number of Black shots and Grey would go into the intermission with a one goal deficit.
The second period would introduce two new goalies Zevnick for Black and Pawloski for Grey. Zevnick would not be tested most of the period as Black kept the pressure on Pawloski for the entire period. Chris Gamberdella put Black up 2-0 with a goal early in the second. Later it would be Grasso scoring again for his second of the game and third of the camp to give Black the 3-0 lead.

Game #9  Light Green vs. White
Roman Uchyn scored in the first period and his team would then take a 2-0 lead early in the second period  to ultimately give Light Green the 3-1 win over White.  Uchyn scored with about five minutes remaining in the first period and Light Green led 1-0. The White Team was getting lots of shots early but as the period went on Light Green was slowly looking better and then Uchyn scored to give them the lead.
The second period started in favor of Light Green as they scored another to go ahead 2-0. Near the middle of the period White would get some life as Garrett Cockerill scored on a wild sliding goal from his back. With the score at 2-1 White would not be able to hang on. Light Green would score one more time and go on to win by a final of 3-1.

Game #10 Maroon Team vs. Black Team #2
The Maroon Team continued their impressive goal scoring defeating Black No. 2 4-3. Maroon had scored seven goals in their first two games of camp. In the first period of their match-up with Black No. 2 Tommy Telesca would score the first goal of the game and his third of the camp to give Maroon the 1-0 lead. Later just before the buzzer sounded Nolan Valleau would clean up a rebound off of Black goalie Collin Delia and tally a second goal for Maroon. Maroon goalie Jett Salinas also performed very well.
The second period would be an entertaining one and not quite as kind for Salinas. It started with multiple fights before the action even started. Black would get on the board to cut the Maroon lead to 2-1 and moments later Maroon answered to go back up 3-1. Then Ryan Galt would again cut into the Maroon lead with a late goal making the score 3-2. Once again just moments later Delia would allow his fourth goal and Maroon extended their lead to 4-2. Black was not done however, Tanner Karty would beat Salinas with just under three minutes to go and it looked like Black still had a chance with the score at 4-3. Salinas made a great sliding save on one of Blacks last attempts and Maroon would hang on to win 4-3.

Game #11  Black Team #1 vs. Dark Green
The Dark Green team earned a 5-3 win over the Black #1 team in tryout camp action Friday afternoon. Conor O’Neil scored twice to lead the Dark Green offense while goaltender Trevor Gorsuch played all 50 minutes in the win.
Dark Green struck just two minutes into the game when Conor O’Neil buried an open shot from the right circle. Black tied the score a minute later on Ian McGilvrey’s breakaway goal. The scoring then settled down until the end of the first half when Black took the lead on Christian Lampasso’s goal with 1:23 remaining.
O’Neil scored his second of the game with 18 minutes left in the second half to even the score. Will Clark put the Dark Green team on top 3-2 with a deflection goal with 16 minutes left. Matt Seidel then extended the lead to 4-2 shortly after with a rising snipe from below the right circle.
Black #1 inched closer with nine minutes remaining on Josh Racek’s no look backhand shot that fluttered over the shoulder of goaltender Trevor Gorsuch.
However, Cody Milligan iced the outcome with a goal passed a scrambling Sean Keating with 2:50 remaining.

Game #12  Light Green vs. Grey
Roman Uchyn scored with 11 seconds remaining and the Light Green team outlasted the Grey team 2-1 in tryout camp action Friday evening.  The Grey team had tied the score when Max Birkinbine pounced on a rebound and buried a shot with 2:45 remaining.
Birkinbine’s goal came moments after Light Green goalie Derrick LaCombe had flown around the crease like a tissue caught in the breeze to stop a flurry.
The Light Green team scored the game’s first goal with 15 minutes remaining in the second half on a Preston McConnell tally.

Game #13 Blue vs. White
The Blue Teams relentless attack finally wore down Nick Ellis and the White Team defense as they pulled away for a 4-2 victory. Nick Ellis came out looking like he couldn’t be beat in the first period. Blue was the aggressor getting shot after shot but Ellis kept turning them away. Finally, it would be White that would breakthrough first. Wyrrck would clean up a rebound in front of the net and score the first goal of the night to put White up 1-0. It didn’t take long for Blue to respond as Shaunak Pal finally got one past Ellis to even the game at 1-1 heading into the intermission.
Blue kept coming in the second period and Travis Maxwell scored a goal with 17 minutes left to pull ahead 2-1. Later in the period Blue would push their lead to 3-1 as Drew Dorantes scored on a 2 on 1 breakaway.
White was not finished, however, w
