COQUITLAM -  - Alexander Kerfoot has committed to the Coquitlam Express of the British Columbia Hockey League.

The forward from West Vancouver led the BC Major Midget League last season with 36 goals, 108 points playing in 38 games for the North West Giants.   Kerfoot also led the BC Major Midget Playoffs with 6 goals, 12 points in 5 post-season games.

The 16-year-old played in 5 regular season games and 1 playoff game last season for the Coquitlam Express and while he didn’t reach the score sheet he proved his worth on the ice with speed and skill.

“We’re extremely pleased to have Alexander join our team,” says Express President and General Manager, Darcy Rota, “he’ll be a great addition to our organization and bring us closer to reaching our goal as being a championship team once again”.

Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations, Jon Calvano says “Alex is just one more piece to the puzzle and I’m thrilled to be coaching him again.”  Calvano coached Kerfoot through his time with the Northwest Giants and throughout spring hockey.

The five-foot-ten, 165-pound forward will finish off his final year of high school at Collingwood in West Vancouver while playing for the Express.
