2019-2020 LES PHOQUES ( Seals )
*2019 BACKYARD CUP Winner*
Les Phoques did the deed last season becoming the 6th team in 6 years to win a BHL Championship. The task was a big one and it took a gutsy performance over previous champion, Top Cheese to put the Seals atop the Backyard Mountain.
This group will be a mix of new faces including former NZIHL goaltender Matt Canaday & old hats with former captain Rob Moon and BHL co-founder Benji Potvin being likely named to the big club for Season 7.
Like the Cheese the Phoques will also draw on the depth of thier franchise and as a result much of the lineup is the same from the club that hoisted the Cup in 2019.
BURNING QUESTIONS ? After winning a Backyard Cup, Can Les Phoques become the BHL's first club to win a second title? How will the team fair without BHL Playoff MVP AJ Spiller ? Who will step up ?
LES COQS (Roosters)
THE FARM : This team has been dominant since it's inception ... depth and awesome goaltending are the staple of this club. However, Three Seasons, Three FHL Finals losses ... Anything other than lifting the Frontyard Cup will be considered a failure ... PERIOD.
Both teams will OPEN their respective Seasons
