Langley Trappers 3 / North Vancouver Wolf Pack 2
In the final meeting of the season between the two conference leaders in the PJHL, it was the Langley Trappers snapping the North Vancouver Wolf Pack’s 27-game winning streak. The Trappers jumped to a 2-0 lead in the first with goals from Keeton Oakley and Carter Graham, the latter on the power play. In the second, Casey Whintors scored 36 seconds into the frame to extend the lead to three. The Wolf Pack were unable to find net in the second despite out shooting the home team 17-6. North Vancouver mounted a potential comeback in the third period with Jacob Fournier and Nathan Haaksma finding goals, but Cooper Giesbrecht stood his ground for the victory, and made 31 saves on the night.
Aldergrove Kodiaks 4 / Richmond Sockeyes 2
Another Langley-based team managed a win at home, the Aldergrove Kodiaks doubled up on the Richmond Sockeyes and they are now 8-0-2 in their last ten games. A scoreless first period lead to multiple goals being exchanged in the second. Cobe Dean got Aldergrove on the board, but Craig Schouten responded barely five minutes later for the Sockeyes. Late in the period, Jordan Desrosiers gave the Kodiaks the lead again but Richmond's Clayton Schroeder equalized the score once more. Both teams lay dormant in the final period until 16:11 when Hayden Vettterl slipped one short side on Jacob Stone to put Aldergrove back on top. A Brayden Szabados empty netter sealed the deal for the Kodiaks, which now sees them clinched second place in the Brittain Conference and home ice in the playoffs.
