The University of Victoria has announced two more commitments for the 2020/21 B.C. Intercollegiate Hockey League season, as Tyler Cannon and Finn Withey are both set to join the Vikes this fall.
Cannon is a 1999-born forward who spent three seasons with the Pacific Junior Hockey League's Aldergrove Kodiaks. He set career highs in goals, assists and points during the 2019/20 campaign, scoring 17 times while setting up 22 others. He concludes his PJHL career with 33 goals and 39 assists in 124 regular season games.
Withey, meanwhile, is a 1999-born forward who recently completed his junior hockey career with the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League's Revelstoke Grizzlies. The Whistler product netted 14 goals and 37 points in 25 games with the Grizzlies, and has 64 Junior A games under his belt with the BCHL's Victoria Grizzlies and the AJHL's Canmore Eagles.Cannon and Withey join forwards Lach Hadley, Dominic Turner, Colton Hutchinson, Jack Fairfield and Lucas Thompson, as well as defenceman Cianan Briscoe and goaltender Blake Pilon, as players who have commited to join the Vikes next season.
