Andy Strong 2017 champs
Congratulations to Hell's Kitchen for their Inwood Fall League championship. Every players on the team has played in the BASL.

Sept 17 Finals swept by Andy Strong, their 2nd championship in 3 years. John Rodriguez's walk off homer in extra innings ended game 3 3-2. Congrats to manager Ricky Ronda and the entire team.

I'm very saddened to learn that my teammate and friend, Louie Curbelo passed away recently at age 78. He was a star pitcher + player with McGlades, Regulars, No Excuses and Rangers during the league's early years in the 70s, 80s and early '90s.

Congrats to Spitfires and manager Mike Peckins for their championship in the 9am Bum's Rush League Sept 10, Sept. 10

The Kings got to the Finals for the first time, beating Westlanders 2 games to 1. Andy Strong gets to the Finals for the 3rd straight year by sweeping Dodgers. The Finals won't start until Sept. 17 at 11 am.

Kings beat Panthers 2 games to 1; Westlanders swept Outlawz and Dogers swept Alwex on Aug. 20.

Outlawz beat Wolfpack 2 games to 1 in 1srt playoff round

Aug 13 Andy Strong forfeits both games to the Kings. The Panthers forfeits 2 to the Dodgers.

Aug 6 Kings Outlawz games are not being played.

The Panthers roster has an approved addition, Pete Shaw, who played earlier in the season but was omitted when the rosters were handed in. Approved roster change Eric Wu added to Andy Strong + Kip Demogenes listed as injured reserve. Zach Srebnick restored from injured list to Outlawz. Dave Nelkin + Kevin O'Hara also added.

Here's your chance to play in a minor league ball park for a very worthy cause. Details are as follows: Date: Saturday July 8th, 2017 Time: 3PM Location: MCU Park Coney Island Cause: Strike out Cancer Donation Page : Stand Up to Cancer The momentum from last year's success will only continue and grow as all these softball lifers stand up to cancer playing the game they love for the friend they love. Sunday May 21st a league wide Cancer Awareness Day for the Big Apple League West and Andy Strong are asking all league participants to wear something pink or blue and to make a team donation/contribution to Andy Santana and his fight against cancer. The WESTLANDERS are wearing pink t-shirts with Team Andy on them (I believe) and Andy Strong will be wearing their jersey's (finally) that day. Both teams will be collecting funds that we will hand to Andy in private prior to the game. Please contact me, Dio, or John Sheppard for more information. It is recommended that a player(s) from each team should be present at the field prior to the game to show unity, support, and love for our friend. Thank you

George Hancock invented softball in 1887 in Chicago.....It was originally played indoors during the winter.

Only the official DeBeers F12 clincher should be used, not the F12G Clincher Gold or the Clincher 2nd.

Since several teams have inquired, please note that the standings on this website list total runs and/or run differential as criteria for standings tiebreakers. These are built in to this website which is shared with leagues and other sports all over this continent and those criteria DO NOT count in the BASL.
