February 17, 2021 LMSL 2021 SEASON TENTATIVELY SET TO BEGIN APRIL 11th
	Managers and Players, We are in the process of putting together the LMSL 2021 schedule. We are hoping to start on April 11th but we do need the final approval from the Parks Dept. Please check this site often for further updates.

August 28, 2014 AWKWARD TIME 2014 LMSL HECKSCHER CUP CHAMPS!
	The 2014 LMSL Finals Round was truly one of the best playoff series ever in the history of the league. Big Red Machine won Game 1 1-0. Awkward Times came back to win Game 2 by the same 1-0 score. In Game 3 Awkward Times jumped out to a 3-0 lead only to have Big Red Machine tie the score with 3 of their own in the bottom of the first. Incredibly neither team scored for the next 10 innings! Finally in the top of the 12th Awkward Times pushed across 2 runs and that was enough to win Game 3 5-3 to win the 2014 LMSL Heckscher Cup. Kudos to Big Red Machine on a great season and playoffs and Congratulations to Awkward Times the 2014 LMSL Heckscher Cup Champions!

August 19, 2013 BALL BUSTERS 2013 HECKSCHER CUP CHAMPIONS
	BALL BUSTERS REPEAT AS CHAMPIONS FOR 2013 The Ball Busters became the first team since 2008 (Machine) to repeat as LMSL Champions sweeping the Jackals 2 games to 0. Ball Busters won Game 1 by a 6-2 score and were trailing 6-3 in Game 2 going into the 7th inning. Then, down to their last strike, with 2 outs and 2 on, Chris Wong hit a dramatic 3 run home run to tie the game. Jackals could not score in the bottom of the 7th so the game went to extra innings. In one of the wildest finishes of the year, Ball Busters exploded for 6 runs in the top of the 8th only to see the Jackals come back with 3 to make the score 12-9, and have the bases loaded when the final out was made, giving the Ball Busters their 2nd consecutive LMSL Championship in a row. Kudos to the Jackals-who finished 6th and made a strong bid for their first title. Congratulations to the Ball Busters-2013 LMSL Champions! Hard to believe that another season has come and gone-where did the summer go? Hope you all had a great time and thank you all for making the LMSL the best Co-Ed softball league in NYC! August 20, 2012 BALL BUSTERS 2012 LMSL CHAMPIONS
	BALL BUSTERS WIN 2012 HECKSCHER CUP 2 GAMES TO 1 OVER BIG RED MACHINE RECAP: Game 1: Big Red Machine jumped out to a 3-0 lead early, then added 2 more runs and never we're tested as they cruised to an easy 5-0 win. Game 2: Ball Busters found themselves trailing 1-0 but rallied for to take a 6-2 lead after 3 innings. Big Red Machine tied the game at 6, but the Ball Busters jumped ahead for good after BRM's defense let in 2 runs in the bottom of the 6th. Final score Ball Busters 8-6. Game 3: Big Red Machine seemed out of gas as they fell behind 6-2 and then 9-4 after 5 innings. Ball Busters added 3 more and behind the strong pitching of "Iron Man" Juan Monroy who pitched all 3 games, the BB's finished off the BRM by a score of 12-5 to win their first ever LMSL Heckscher Cup! Kudos both teams for an exciting 3 game Heckscher Cup Finals series and congratulations to the Ball Busters-the 2012 LMSL Heckscher Cup Champions!

April 15, 2012 STARTING TIME AT GREAT LAWN #3 1:30pm thru June
	Our permits say 2pm, as does the schedule, however we all know that the permit holder before us is never there so until July 10th when our permits start at 1pm-all teams should be ready to play at 1:30pm. Again, we may have to wait somewhat at 1:30pm but so far we haven't had to and it gives us more playing time.

September 19, 2011 AWKWARD TIMES 2011 LMSL CHAMPIONS
	Awkward Times became the first ever #8 seed to win the Heckscher Cup, defeating #2 seed Big Red Machine (formerly What?)- two games to one -to become the 2011 LMSL Champions. Game 1 saw Awkward Times jump out to a 4-0 lead only to have Big Red Machine shock them with a 5 run 6th inning resulting in a final score of -What 5 Awkward Tiimes 4. Game 2 Awkward Times again went ahead 4-0, but this time BRM couldn't get their offense in gear-final score Awkward Times 4 Big Red Machine 0. Game 3 saw Awkward Times again take the early lead with 2 runs in the first inning. BRM came back with 3 in the bottom of the 5th and took that lead into the final inning. Awkward Times rallied and scored the tying run on a sac fly, the runner barely beating the throw home. BRM had a chance to win in the bottom of the 7th, but left the bases loaded. Finally Awkward Times scored 2 in the top of the 9th and held on to in it all-final score Awkward Times 5 Big Red Machine 3. Great Season Everyone! See you next Spring!
