Pete Zubersky’s call to Jarrod Lucoe in late August was an uplifting one for both the player and the owner. To say that Jarrod was thrilled would have been a massive understatement and the young forward will give everything he has to make the squad a better one with him on it. Born and raised in Victoria, Jarrod is entering his rookie campaign in Junior Hockey. He had an early season highlight at home against the Westshore Wolves on September 23rd when he played hard, had a goal and an assist and was named the 3rd star in the game. He very much enjoys the road trips, being around the boys and getting to know everyone on a one-to-one basis. He likes Steak, Caesar salad and mashed potatoes. His parents are Belinda and Warren and has two younger siblings in Justin and Tanesha. He drives a Nissan 240SX that is lowered but also owns an Acura TSX. Welcome to the Panthers and to the VIJHL Jarrod!
“Jordan (Neufeld) played his best hockey of the season over the past six weeks,” says Comox Valley Glacier Kings’ Head Coach, Jeff Dubois of the VIJHL Player of the Week (February 17-22). “On top of being our top offensive player, he brings a physical presence and puts in a lot of work on special teams. He was the driving force in our win on Monday over Campbell River and has scored a number of big goals this month.”
