REGISTRATION & INSURANCE ADMINISTRATOR
Bob Kreasul
The Administrator is required to coordinate the operations of all policies and procedures as they apply to the playing of Rugby, particularly in the areas of Registration and Insurance. In addition the position also entails providing administrative support, guidance and direction to operational committees and the staff of the Rugby Canada office as well as being a focal point for operational and management enquiries pertaining to membership issues.
The Administrator requires specific attention to Rugby Canada’s registration and insurance programs. The role is responsible for administering player transfers of all domestic and foreign players as well as the tour in/out approval process.
Bob Kreasul has been employed part-time with Rugby Canada since 2006, and is currently providing administrative support in the area of Registration and Insurance (member services). Bob’s role with the union includes various administrative tasks, primarily focused on the areas of registration and insurance. Bob was instrumental with Rugby Canada’s conversion to a new registration system and selection of a new insurance broker. Bob is also involved with the process of national and international player releases for all players and manages the tour approval procedure for the union.
Bob is a former Commissioner of the Rugby Canada Super League, which was Canada’s premier domestic senior men’s competition. A devoted member of the Oshawa Vikings RFC, Bob is a past board member having served for many years and was inducted into the club’s Hall of Fame. He was part of the Vancouver Trojans club when he lived on the west coast. He also played football at a high level with the Etobicoke Bears Junior A team, Toronto Rifles semi-pro and was even drafted by the Toronto Argonauts in 1969.
Bob graduated from York University in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science. Before retiring, Bob was a Director of International Marketing based in the UK and has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry in Canada and abroad. He has been an active volunteer with various organizations, including being the Commodore of the Oshawa Yacht Club, Big Brother, Faith United Church (former board chair) and is a member of the Canadian Professional Sales Association (lifetime member) and Canadian Power Squadron. An avid boater, Bob has a 38’ Chris Craft that sometimes keeps him away from the rugby pitch.
Bob currently lives in Courtice, Ontario with his wife and has two children.
