A handful of Milton lacrosse players competed in the field lacrosse provincials this past Victoria Day Weekend.  Four emerged provincial medalists earning 3 silvers and one gold.  Three of the medals came from the same age group Peewee ‘B’.  In fact the peewee box team members were competing against each other in the championship game.  Tyler Townsend and Justin Turner were playing for Burlington where as Tyler Playter, in his first debut of the sport, was playing for Guelph.  Both teams competed within the same round robin loop.  When they faced each other in the round robin, Burlington squeezed out and 8-7 win over Guelph.

At the end of the round robin, Burlington finished first and Guelph was second to move onto the semis.  During the semis, Burlington defeated Caledon 7-3 to move onto the championship game.  Guelph clobbered Centre Wellington 11-3 in their semi final game.  The battle of the Milton boys happened on May 23, 3:30pm at Sandalwood fields for Provincial Peewee ‘B’ Gold.  Guelph had a score to even after narrowly losing to Burlington in the round robin.  They defeated Burlington 9-4.  Tyler Playter was responsible for 4 of those goals.  Congratulations to Tyler Playter Provincial Gold Medalist and to Tyler Townsend and Justin Turner Provincial Silver medalist. 

One of Milton’s youngest field players played for Halton Hills Novice team. Joey Szabo and his team battled multiple over time periods to finally emerge victorious in the semi final Novice ‘B’ division against Caledon.  Joey and his team had a hard time battling Peterborough for the Gold Medal.  This year Joey earned a silver medal in his second year of playing field.  Congratulations to all.
