The Keystone Junior Hockey League Executive is proud to announce the winner for the annual Farron Cochrane Coach of the Year award. This award is presented to the top coach in the league as determined by the league executive. The newly renamed award is named after the highly successful and impactful Farron Cochrane of Peguis. He was a staple with the Juniors organization over the years and had a great impact on the game and the community. The winner is:
Kevin Monkman, Peguis Juniors - Kevin led his Peguis Juniors to a 24-9-1 record this season in Peguis. Supported by assistant coach Darcy Pelletier and trainer Clint Webb, the powerhouse Juniors defended their league championship for a sixth time under Kevin and his staff. As the year went on, they managed a lineup that was injury riddled over the course of the year. Kevin is a highly respected coach by his players, peers, officials and league executive.
Congratulation Kevin and keep up the good work!
