Chiefs 9 vs The Royals 5
The full squad Chiefs played against a thin roster for the Royals. Too bad…The Chiefs are now all alone in first place. There’s a huge battle for that top spot between Chiefs, Royals, MadJacks and Studs! The end of the season will be exciting! Back to the game. It was a very good 1st period with a 3-3 tie with Simon Lamoureux and Tomas Bailey getting the 2 first goal for the Chiefs while a sub guy scores all 3 goals for the Royals. 2nd period, it’s all Chiefs scoring 3 goals on Giorgio Porcari. 3rd period, Chiefs add 2 more goals, 2nd by Chris Diabo and also 2nd by Simon Lamoureux, it’s 8-3. The Royals try a comeback with 3 minutes left, scoring 2 goals, Patrick Grenier and Noémie Dutil on Thasontehra Lahache but they will be out of time and Tomas Bailey scores the empty net goal. For the Chiefs, Tomas Bailey and Simon Lamoureux got 2 goals, 1 assist, Chris Diabo 2 goals, Evan Lisi and Steve Towell 1 goal, 1 assist and Brittany Diabo 2 assists. For the Royals, Noémie Dutil got 1 goal, 2 assists, Patrick Grenier 1 goal, 1 assist. Game winner goes to Evan Lisi. Shots: 27-23 for the Chiefs.

Studs 4 vs Wicked Wabbit 3 (overtime)
Huge win for the Studs to stay in the run for the 1st place. Wabbit were playing without Massoti and Bergomi, that doesn’t help! Very good 1st period, lots of shots, both Martin Desplantie for the Wabbit and Michael Lang for the Studs were solid in front of the net. It was 1-1 after one period with Mel Bercovici tying the game for the Studs. 2nd period, with a minute left, Stephanie Faludi scores for the Studs and it’s 2-1. 3rd period, David Nemiroff gets one, but 2 minutes later, Eyal Azimov gets back the lead for the Studs. With 2 minutes left in the game, Sal Pistone scores and ties that game. We go in overtime and a sub guy scores the game winner for the Studs. For the Studs, Eyal Azimov, Stephanie Faludi and Mel Bercovici got 1 goal. For the Wabbit, Manpreet Kooner got 2 assist, Sal Pistone and David Nemiroff got 1 goal. Shots: 32-30 for Wicked Wabbit.

MadJacks 3 vs Dolce Banana 2
MadJacks are still in the run for first place with that important win. MadJacks were opportunistic, getting outshouted but manage to score when they had the chance. MadJacks open the score with only 20 seconds in the game when Sonia St-Martin surprises Santino Catalano. Later, Perry Stroumbakis ties it but with less than 2 minutes left, Pascale Gougeon gives back the lead to MadJacks, it’s 2-1. No goal in the 2nd period thanks to those saves by Darren Egett. Dolce Banana dominate that 2nd period but couldn’t pass Egett. 3rd period, Perry Stroumbakis gets one behind Egett and ties it. With 8 minutes left, Uri Cruz scores the game winner. For MadJacks, Uri Cruz, Pascale Gougeon and Sonia St-Martin got 1 goal. For Dolce Banana, Perry Stroumbakis got 2 goals. Shots: 25-15 for Dolce Banana.

Dragons 7 vs Reapers 4
It was a good game until the end. The Dragons took a 3-1 lead after one period when Alex Baron, Dominique Rhéault and Sarah Arsenault scored while Stéphanie Abado got one for the Reapers on goalie Todd Petkov. 2nd period, Mark Caldwell scores for the Reapers. Later, the Dragons reply with a goal but the Reapers keep working hard and Robert Burnett scores 2 goals to tie that game 4-4. 3rd period, with less than 6 minutes left, Jesse Camara gives the lead to the Dragons. With 2 minutes left, Sarah Arsenault gets a nice pass in front of the net and scores while Ricky Agnessi can’t do much about it. Jesse Camara add another one with 40 seconds left. In that 3rd period, the Reapers got more shots but couldn’t get one behind Todd Petkov. For the Dragons, Mike Sylvestre got 4 assists, Jesse Camara 2 goals, 1 assist, Sarah Arsenault 2 goals and Alex Baron 1 goal, 1 assist. For Reapers, Robert Burnett got 2 goals, Stephanie Abado and Mark Caldwell 1 goal, 1 assist and Alex Moreau 2 assists. Game winner goes to Jesse Camara. Shots: 27-24 for the Reapers.

JBombers 9 vs RoadRunners 3
Strong 1st period for JBombers, they scored 5 goals on a shaky Marc Laplante. Kristin Portwine got 2 goals in that period. 2nd period, Kristin makes it 6-0, getting a rebound in front of the net. RoadRunners finally get on board when a ball deflect in front of the net, out of the reach of yours truly and a sub girl tips it in the empty net. 30 seconds later, Sagar Modi replies with a precise shot to beat Marc Laplante, it’s 7-1. The RoadRunners played a better period, dominating with the shots on net while JBombers were very opportunistic scoring with very few shots. Yours truly was in is game! 3rd period, middle of the period, Errol Allen scores all by himself with a nice deke and 3 minutes later, Evan Monk deflect a shot-pass in front of the net, it’s 7-3. SAgar Modi and Vince Blanco score in the end of the period. For JBombers, Kristin Portwine got 3 goals, 1 assist, Ajit Gill 1 goal, 3 assist, Sagar Modi 2 goals, 1 assist, Aman Rai 3 assists, Costa Fragiudakis and Chi Yen Lim 1 goal, 1 assist. For Roadrunners, Evan Monk, Errol Allen got 1 goal. Game winner goes to Kristin Portwine. Shots: 21-20 for Roadrunners.
