Mini-Runners 7 vs 2Hot2Yandle 6 (overtime)
Mini-Runners are the new champs when they defeated the first rank team and the favorite to win it. Very intense game, lots of penalties, some lucky goals, we got it all! Mini-Runners gets the first goal of the game when AJ Rashkovan deflected a shot behind Sagar Modi. 2Hot will answer by scoring 3 goals, 2 of them by Rick Modi. But the Mini-Runners makes a comeback, Josh Feder gets one on a powerplay and Henry Steinberg gets a rebound in front of the net, it’s 3-3. 2nd period, with 5 minutes left, Rick Modi gets a nice pass from Aman Rai and puts it behind Ben Owens. 50 seconds later, AJ Rashkovan ties it and a minute later, Josh Feder gives the lead to his team, it’s 5-4. We begin the 3rd period without Aman Rai for 2Hot, he got 3 penalties so he’s out. Huge loss for 2Hot2Yandle but they won’t give up. The Mini-Runners gets a 2 goals lead with another goal by Josh Feder with only 43 seconds played in the beginning of the period. 2 minutes later, Sumit Modi gets one, it’s 6-5. We go in the end of the period, with 3 :30 left, 2Hot gets a powerplay. They don’t score on that powerplay but keep controling the ball in Mini-Runner’s zone. With 28 seconds left, Randy Beaver gets a rebound to score the tying goal! With about 10 seconds left, Daniel Somher gets a huge chance to win it for his team but the goalie Ben Owens made a huge key save, stopping the ball with his foot. That one save the game because in overtime, Josh Feder deflects a shot from Stephane Cohen to give the championship to the Mini-Runners. For Mini-Runners, Josh Feder got 4 goals, Sammy Feder 4 assists, AJ Rashkovan 2 goals, Stephane Cohen 2 assists. For 2Hot2Yandle, Rick Modi got 3 goals, 2 assists, Sumit Modi 1 goal, 4 assists, Aman Rai 1 goal, 2 assists and Randy Beaver 1 goal, 1 assist. Shots : 28-27 for Mini-Runners.
