Rivermen Finish Third Game in as Many Days versus Chiefs
- Submitted by

Township of Langley, BC (Sunday, January 11, 2015) – The Langley Rivermen (21-15-1-4 = 48) look to take the rubber match and leap ahead of the first place Chilliwack Chiefs (23-13-1-1 = 47) this afternoon at 2:00PM inside the Langley Events Centre on Family Skate Night.

Both teams have won in the opposing team’s barn as Langley and Chilliwack play for the third time in three days. On Friday night it was the Chiefs who came into the LEC and came away with a 3-2 victory. The Rivermen battled back from a 2-0 and 3-1 deficit but despite a goal late in the third from forward Dante Hahn, they still came up on the short end. Langley net minder Bo Didur stopped 23 shots in the defeat. The following night was a different story, despite the same slow start for the Rivermen, they scored four unanswered goals and Darren Martin turned aside 36 of 37 shots faced to steal a crucial two points in Chilliwack. Captain Kevan Kilistoff led the way with a goal and an assist and forward Matt Graham put home and empty net goal to seal the deal and give the Rivermen some momentum heading into today’s game.

After today’s game fans are invited on the ice to skate with the entire Rivermen team and take pictures and get their autographs. The first 500 fans through the doors receive a player card set. Face-off is at 2:00PM.
