Rivermen Announce Pair of Commitments for 2015-16 Season
- Submitted by

Township of Langley, BC (Tuesday, January 13, 2015) – The Langley Rivermen are pleased to announce the commitments of Justin Fregona (97) and Adam Sinclair (97) to the Rivermen for the 2015-16 season. Both currently play for the St. Andrews College Saints, a university prep school in Aurora, Ontario.

“We’re extremely excited both of them chose to be Rivermen,” said Head Coach and General Manager Bobby Henderson. “They should both be able to jump into our lineup and add some offensive punch right out of the gate.”

Fregona, born in Mississauga, Ontario played in 53 games last season, scoring 61 points (28g, 33a). This season, he’s an assistant captain with the Saints. The forward is committed to the University of New Hampshire, an NCAA Division I school.

“I’m excited to get my first year of junior hockey under my belt and there’s no better place to do it than Langley,” said Fregona.

“Justin is a natural goal scorer,” said Henderson. “He’s got great vision and can make plays all over the ice.”

Last season Fregona and Sinclair were teammates with current Rivermen forwards Matthew Graham and Zac Masson at St. Andrews, which played a part in their decision.

“Everything they’ve said is great,” said Fregona. “I’ve heard the league is very competitive, the facility is incredible and the fan support is great. They’ve got nothing but good things to say about the area and the organization.”

Sinclair, from Kettleby, Ontario, is the current Captain for St. Andrews College’s senior team. Last season, he scored 46 points (16g, 30a) in 48 games with the Saints. He’s committed to Harvard University.

“The coaching staff and the area are great, and it’ll be nice having guys I know around me with Masson and Graham,” said Sinclair. “It seems like a great place and a great team.”

“Adam is very dynamic forward,” said Henderson. “He’s got a high-end compete level and will fit right in next season.”
