First Star: Alannah Kedra (Fraser Valley Jets)
Alannah Kedra was in on all three goals to lead the Fraser Valley Jets to a 3-2 victory over the Richmond Devils Sunday afternoon at Planet Ice – Delta.
Kedra assisted on a second-period goal by Amanda Christie to tie the game 1-1 with six minutes to play in the second period.
After the Devils took a 2-1 lead early in the third period, Kedra tied the game with nine minutes to play then scored the winning goal with five minutes remaining.
Kedra leads the SCWHL scoring race with five points on three goals and a pair of helpers in two games played.
Second Star: Lauren Mackay (Richmond Devils)
Playing in her first-ever SCWHL game, Lauren Mackay of the Richmond Devils collected two points in a 3-2 loss to the Fraser Valley Jets.
She assisted on a goal by Jodie Wong in the second period to give the Devils a 1-0 lead. After Fraser Valley tied the game 1-1 after two periods, Mackay netted a go-ahead goal five minutes into the third period.
Third Star: Jenna Ehling (Richmond Devils)
The Fraser Valley Jets fired 52 shots at the Richmond Devils net Sunday afternoon, but needed two late goals for a 3-2 win as Devils netminder Jenna Ehling turned aside 49 shots.
The Jets peppered Ehling with 26 shots in the final period, scoring twice in the final nine minutes to erase a 2-1 Richmond lead.
