Week Four: Three Stars of the Week


 

First Star: Stacy Wilson (Fraser Valley Jets)

Stacy Wilson earned her second shutout in three games played this season, making 32 saves to backstop the Fraser Valley Jets to a 2-0 victory over the Meadow Ridge Moose Sunday afternoon at Planet Ice – Delta.

Wilson leads all SCWHL goaltenders with three wins in as many starts, two shutouts, a 0.67 goals against average and a .977 save percentage.

 

Second Star: Katrina Hawkins (South Fraser TNT)

In her second game with the South Fraser TNT, Katrina Hawkins tallied twice and assisted on two other goals Saturday night in a 9-1 triumph over the Richmond Devils at the Richmond Ice Centre.

Hawkins earned a point on four of the first five TNT tallies, including a shorthanded goal to open the scoring with the game’s only goal of the first period. She also scored South Fraser’s second goal before adding two assists to help the TNT to a 5-0 lead after two periods.

Hawkins played 50 games over the two previous SCWHL seasons with the Island Surge, scoring 24 goals and 38 points.

 

Third Star: Brooklyn Crawford (Kamloops Vibe)

Brooklyn Crawford scored her first-ever SCWHL goal with seven minutes to play Sunday morning at the Sandman Centre in Kamloops, lifting the Kamloops Vibe to a 2-1 victory over the North Shore Rebels.

Crawford, a graduate of the Kamloops Minor Hockey Association’s Female Midget A team, also assisted on the Vibe’s first goal.
