The Sask East Hockey League grew by two teams on Tuesday evening and will play an 18-game schedule, beginning in early November.
Accepted into the league are the Swan Valley Axemen and Grandview Comets, formerly of the Manitoba North Central Hockey League (which is taking a one year hiatus).
Teams will play a home and home against each of the other nine teams in comprising the regular season schedule.
Two divisions will be formed for playoff purposes and the first place team in each division will play the fourth place team in a best of three first round series while second plays third. The fifth place team in each division will miss the playoffs. Division finals will also be a best of three and the league championship series for the Emile Balogh Trophy will be a best of five.
The SEHL features the Swan Valley Axemen, Grandview Comets, Cote Selects, Canora Cobras, and Theodore Buffalos in the North Division. The South Division has the Langenburg Warriors, Rocanville Tigers, Ituna Avalanche, Whitewood Orioles, and Wapella Blackhawks.
League schedule should be finalized in early October.
