Get Ready for EK Avalanche AA Tryouts: Important Details Inside!

Dear EK Avalanche Families,

We are excited to see everyone at the rink! Below, you’ll find all the details to ensure a smooth and successful tryout experience for your athletes.

📅 Tryout Schedule:

• Date: August 23-25

• Location: Western Financial Place
   

🙌  Volunteers Still Needed:

We are still in need of volunteers to help run the time clock during the tryouts. If you are available and would like to contribute your help is greatly appreciated!

🏒 Check-In Information:

Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your first scheduled ice time to complete the check-in process. We’ll be in the locker room foyer in the basement.  

📝 Housekeeping:

As a friendly reminder there is no cell phone use in the locker rooms, please step outside the door to use, if needed.  Please respect the locker rooms, arena staff, and volunteers.  

Showers are available after ice sessions, please follow Hockey Canada Guidelines and respect those around you.

⚠️ Zero Tolerance Policy:

Our organization is committed to maintaining a positive and respectful environment. We enforce a zero-tolerance policy regarding unsportsmanlike behavior, both on and off the ice. We appreciate your cooperation in supporting this standard.

📢 Release Information:

Player emails will go out Saturday August 24th notifying whether players will attend the skills session or final game.  

Goalies will be spoken to after Sunday’s goalie session. 

Next round of releases will go out Sunday August 25th via email for players and goalies. If you’re invited to skate with the team, a TeamSnap link will be included and all communication will happen through TeamSnap.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Parent Meeting:

A parent meeting will be held on Sunday August 25th at 12:00 pm in the locker room foyer in the basement. This meeting will discuss team expectations, budget, and we’ll be available to answer any other questions.
