David Edgar is a skilled and gritty forward who is just one of two 16-year-old players currently on the Panthers. He was an affiliate player with the Club last season and was put into games and practices by Coach Tippett. When he was signed coming out of PCHA, the transition was a smooth one as all of the returning players knew him and respected both David and his game. In late August, David attended the Panthers’ development camp but then headed South into Victoria as he was invited to the WHL’s Royals Camp. He showed well but was returned to the Panthers for the season and is looking to make things happen. His parents Clint and Laura are regulars at Panthers’ games, as is his younger sister Destiny.
“Jordan (Neufeld) played his best hockey of the season over the past six weeks,” says Comox Valley Glacier Kings’ Head Coach, Jeff Dubois of the VIJHL Player of the Week (February 17-22). “On top of being our top offensive player, he brings a physical presence and puts in a lot of work on special teams. He was the driving force in our win on Monday over Campbell River and has scored a number of big goals this month.”
