Following a surprise 5-6 loss against the Bears on Saturday afternoon the Northstars secured a road trip win defeating the Central Coast Rhinos 18-5.
The Rhinos saw a number of their import players head back overseas to start pre-season training for their next teams, and the Northstars were in condition to take advantage.
Looking ahead now to finals, Captain Liam Manwarring shared, “That win is important for us as we look ahead to the coming weeks.”
“I think we played well and it’s a good confidence builder. We have a lot of work to do this week as a unit and individually to get ready for next weekend (against CBR Brave).”
“Finals and places are locked in now, but that doesn’t mean anything. It’s about momentum and its about really sending a message to show that we can win.”
The Northstars final regular season game will be played on Sunday 13
th August, puck drops at 4.00pm.
