Rams 4, Stampeders 3
The expansion Rams are playoff-bound.
Ryan Chambers wore the super hero outfit on Sunday, sniping the game-winner with 51 seconds remaining in regulation time to put Rocky into the post-season in its inaugural season.
Landon Siegle potted a pair before Hunter Roberts scored the equalizer with just 3:10 to play in the final frame.
Tyrone Potts, Kodan Smallboy and Kieran Bulloch scored for the Stamps (9-27-2), who built up a 3-1 lead in the first period but couldn't hold off the determined rams.
Devon Carroll made 31 saves for Rocky (11-25-2), who will face Sylvan Lake in the first round of the playoffs.
Generals 6, Cubs 0
Erik Garber is in playoff form.
And thanks to his outstanding weekend, the Generals won't be playing until the second round.
Less than 24 hours after making 32 saves in a 2-1 victory, Garber turned aside all 34 shots he faced as the Generals locked down second place in the HJHL's South Division.
Dean Olenyk scored and set up a trio of markers as Cochrane swept a key home-and-home series with the Cubs to earn the first-round bye.
Justin Giacomin scored and added a pair of assists while Patrick Forde and Shane Benoit found the net and contributed a helper apiece.
Nick Koch and Chris Sambrook rounded out the scoring for the Generals (27-9-2).
The Cubs will meet Strathmore in a first round best-of-three series.
Bisons 7, Lakers 0
The Bisons will be on vacation next week.
So they took advantage of their final regular-season skate before their opening-round bye.
Tyson Scott, who officially locked up the HJHL scoring title with 41 goals and 88 points, potted a pair and assisted on two more markers.
Tyler Alger had a four-assist afternoon while Austin O'Bray had a goal and two helpers.
Matthew Baba, Jagger Thiessen, Kyle Harrison and Evan Woods rounded out the scoring for Okotoks (35-2-1), which clinched top spot in the overall standings weeks ago.
Casey Thomson made 19 saves for the shutout.
Brady Newton made 65 saves for Lomond (3-34-1).
