March 6, 2013 Green Jeans VS Sens Feb 28th |
|
The Green Jeans-Sens rivalry resumed Thursday
night in a penalty-filled game that saw the Sens shut
down the high-powered Green Jeans 7-2. Mark Donohue
led the attack with 3 goals, Pierre Sevigny notched 2
goals and 1 assist, while Rob Chavasitis and Paul
Wheeler added singles for the 1st place Sens (12-7-0-4).
All-Star callup Adam Reichart scored both goals for
the Green Jeans (12-9-0-2), who were no match for the
Sens on this night, being outworked in all 3 zones all
game long.

March 6, 2013 PEK VS Pirates Feb 28th |
|
Danny Esposito led the assault with 5 goals, Mark
Sauve added a hat trick and one assist, as the Pirates
edged PEK 11-9 in Thursday Night hockey at Excellent
Ice.
Esposito won the battle of the league’s scoring
leaders against PEK’s Mathieu Benoit, who finished the
game with 1 goal and 6 assists. PEK (11-11-0-0) also got
3 goals apiece from David Fleurent and Guillaume Benoit,
whose late game rally was not enough after starting the
game slowly.
James Yeandel added 2 goals for the Pirates (11-
12-0-0), while Ryan Branston rounded out the scoring
without a shootout snipe that sent the crowd home happy. |

February 11, 2013 Sens Vs Macneil |
|
Paul Wheeler fired in the 5th round shoot-out
winner, as the Sens edged the Green Jeans 5-4. Sylvain
Martel scored 2 goals for the tentative 1st-place Sens
(10-7-0-3), who finished the night leading the Thursday
Night Pond Hockey League standings by 1 point.
Brian Siciliani notched 2 goals for the Jeans (10-8-
0-2), while Jamie Roche and Scott Patterson notched 1
apiece, whose tight-checking game plan kept the Sens
snipers at bay.
A goalie battle throughout the game, Martin Houle
and Tony Zadi showcased their poise and skill deep into
the shootout, with the veteran Zadi (9-7-0-3) gaining the
upper hand with some steady saves to earn the win.

February 11, 2013 PEK VS Pirates |
|
With playoff hockey looming on the not-so-distant
horizon, the Pirates blew away high-powered PEK 13-7
Thursday, showing the growing parity in the 4-team
league.
Danny Esposito continues to tear up the scoreboard,
netting 5 and adding 2 assists for the Pirates (9-11-0-0),
while linemate James Yeandel added a hat trick and 4
helpers, leading their squad to a convincing win. Ryan
Branston and Dave Taylor scored 2 goals apiece, while
Rob Senecal added a single.
Mathieu Benoit fired in 5 goals for PEK (11-9-0-0),
bringing his league-leading total to an incredible 57 goals
in only 12 games. To put this in perspective, Esposito
places 2nd with 43 goals & 62 points. Guillaume Benoit
and Sam Paquet rounded out the scoring for the 2nd
place squad.
