• 3 lines per team
• A (best) B and C line
• C line plays first shift, B then A
• If all players show up and there is more than 15, the C line will play with an extra player
• 2 minute shifts, Stop for goals, Icing and offsides
• If a whistle is blown with only seconds left in the shift, in the interest of time we end the shift.
• A line will have all rules including Icing & offsides
• B line will play with Intentional Offsides (a pass over the blueline to a waiting player)
• C line will not play offsides or icing
• running time shifts to keep the game moving besides these instances
• Penalties will last the remainder of the shift
• 3rd penalty and they are out for the remainder of the game
• COACHES main objective is giving everyone even ice time, while putting the proper players on the ice for each line. Do not put out a ringer to score a quick goal, we have 3 lines because we have 3 different skill levels on each tem, please put players out appropriately,
• PARENT QUESTIONS ANSWERED BELOW
B & C lines work off of different rules as they are still learning the game. If we had the whistle blowing and set up for faceoffs every 10 seconds, they would not get any real playing time. The ref & coaches are to talk to the players and explain to them what to do better for the next shift.
Before blowing a gasket, talk to your coach after the game if you have any issues, If it is still not addressed email mattsisp@yahoo.com and I will address it promptly
Due to late signups we have 3 teams, where I would have liked to have had 4. We encourage everyone to sign up for the next season WAY in advance as we will be fallowing our Registration deadline more strictly. If everyone signs up on time, we can have smaller teams with more ice time for the student, as well as more teams and more fun for everyone.
New Season of House League will start May 10th & 11th, Still working out kinks with late signups and rosters to insure the best league possible. All players will receive calls and email when the schedule is finished and rosters are set. You can also check back here for updates.
