GUIDELINES FOR NEW TEAMS APPLYING TO THE NCHL

1.  Potential new teams MUST apply in person at the NCHL's Annual Meeting held in May of every year.  Prior contact to the League President should be done ahead of time.

2.  The New Team's application shall include their team structure, list of executive members and coaching staff, proposed operating budget, and an official letter confirming adequate ice times from their local arena operator.

3.  New teams must apply for and achieve society status

4.  New team members making application into the NCHL at this meeting shall not have voting privileges.

5.  New team members may be accepted into the NCHL at this meeting by vote as set out in these by-laws.

6.  New NCHL team members shall be accepted on a one year trial basis.

7.  All NCHL teams shall pay a $2000.00 performance bond payable at the Annual Meeting.  This bond shall be held in a designated NCHL bank account and is non-refundable.  If the team continues as a member of the NCHL for consecutive seasons, the bond shall stand on their behalf.

8.  All teams shall pay an entry fee to the NCHL as set by the Executive and Board of Directors, this fee is currently $1000.00/year

a).  A $250.00 non refundable deposit shall be paid at the Annual Meeting and the remaining $750.00 shall be paid at the General Meeting.

9. There shall be a one time fee of $500.00 for new NCHL teams

10.  No team holding "AAA" status shall be a member of the NCHL.

THESE ARE THE NCHL'S BY-LAWS CONCERNING NEW TEAMS.  IN ADDITION, NEW TEAMS ALSO ARE REQUIRED TO APPLY TO HOCKEY ALBERTA FOR ADMISSION TO THE NCHL. .
