VANCOUVER NW GIANTS PERFECT SO FAR IN MAC'S 35TH ANNIVERSARY

Things are getting very exciting at the 35th Annual Mac's Midget Tournament in Calgary. The Vancouver Northwest Giants of the BCMML (BC) are perfect so far with the only 4-0-0 record in the tournament. They have nineteen goals for and six against as they sit atop of Pool 1.
They defeated the Leduc Chrysler Oil Kings (AMHL/AB) 5-2 on Wednesday, Alaska Aces (USA) 4-1 on Thursday, Tisdale Trojans (SMAAAHL/SK) 5-1 and the Calgary Flames (AMHL/AB) 5-2 today.
The St. Albert Raiders are also undefeated with a 3-0-0 record having taken down the Calgary Buffaloes (AMHL/AB) 3-2 on Wednesday, Saskatoon Blazers (SMAAAHL/SK) on Thursday 3-0 and blanking their second opponent the Battlefords Stars (SMAAAHL/SK) 7-0. They play the Greater Vancouver Canadians today.
Other "Pool" leaders are the Cariboo Cougars (BCMML/BC) with a 2-0-1 record in Pool 2, Pirati Chomutov (Russia) leading Pool 4 with a 2-0-1 record and the Carolina Jr. Hurricanes (USA) on top of Pool 5 with a 2-1-1 record.
Player stats have not been made available by the tournament thus far.
There are still a few games left today and play resumes tomorrow for the last day of round robin action.
Playoffs begin on Monday with finals being broadcast live on Shaw TV on Tuesday, January 1st at 6:00pm Mountain Time from the Saddledome Arena in Calgary.
