The KJHL is happy to release its 2021-2022 regular season schedule, along with its playoff format. The regular season will kick off Friday October 8th with the Norway House North Stars playing host to their long time rivals the Cross Lake Islanders. Puck drop will be at 7:30pm.
Each of the 5 teams will play a balanced 32 game schedule, seeing them play 16 home games and 16 road games. The 2019-2020 regular season champions, the NCN Flames will open their season at home on Saturday October 9th playing host to the OCN Storm.
The four-time defending KJHL champion Peguis Juniors will kick off their title defense at home on Saturday October 16th against the NCN Flames. New head coach Jason Smith will look to have his team maintain their high-scoring ways, even with the departure of league leading scorers Tyrome Spence and Ethan Daniels.
The playoff format will remain the same as it has in recent years, seeing all five teams qualify. The fourth place team will host the fifth place team in a best-of-three series, with the winner advancing to the league semifinals. The league semifinals will see the second place team host the third place team, and the regular season winning first place team hosting the winner of the 4th vs. 5th series. Both semifinal series will be contested as a best of five. Each of the semifinal winners will faceoff in the KJHL league final in a best of seven series.

Holiday Break: Wednesday December 22nd, 2021 - Saturday January 1st, 2022

A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
As the President of the Keystone Junior Hockey League, ahead of the start of a new season, I would like to acknowledge all of the hard work of the KJHL Executive Board, all of the team Governors, General Managers and Coaches on a job well done these past couple of seasons and the importance of keeping Junior Hockey alive and well in the North for our younger generation. The level of competition each team brings makes for exciting hockey, and any team can beat any team on any given night. We are excited for the start of a new season!
