Gearmax Inc, has teamed up to sponsor hockey events at the Coastal Cup 2004-2005 and to offer special discounts to team orders.
Gearmax was conceived by Buck Albritton of Ashland, Virginia, a hockey dad and coach who got frustrated with hockey bags that were available commercially and made a better hockey bag. The result is a back pack styled gear bag that opens into a hanging wall of large mesh pockets. Equipment is easy to store, easy to see and dries in the bag without unloading.
Albritton was awarded the Grand Prize Winner in the United Inventors Association / Inventors' Digest 2003 National New Products Hunt, which was sponsored by the Procter & Gamble Company. The Gearmax Hanging Locker Backpack was elected from a field of more than 400 entries, which were submitted by inventors from across the United States. The UIA is a nonprofit educational organization for independent inventors and an umbrella organization for the nation's inventor groups. Experts in the field of new product development served as judges.
Gearmax X series looks like a backpack when it's closed, but unzipped it's an extremely well-organized hockey gear system that can be conveniently hung and used as a "virtual" locker with a built-in ventilation system - a time saver in a crowded locker room. The design is well thought out by a parent who coaches and regularly transports hockey equipment. Since Gearmax is a brand new product, the packs are not yet available at a large number of retail locations. Gearmax will be offering team specials to all Coastal cup participants by direct inquiries. Bags are available in blue/ black with silver/gray mesh.
