Friday's game against Smithson Drilling lived up to all the hype that surrounded this game.  Two of the early season favorites battled in what was a very hard fought and well played game.  The game started out with Smithson pulling ahead 1 - 0 in the fourth inning in the pitchers dual between Eddie and Bruce (Smithson). That lead held up until Jack Lomax, with one on board, hit his first long ball of the season (Frosty special) giving Swiftsure the lead 2 - 1.  As the battle continued 2-1 going into the bottom of the seventh, Smithson rallied and tying the score on a triple to right field.  Smithson eventually scored the winner on an infield single - deep in the hole between third and short.  It was a great game from the players and fans perspective.
