Mariners Top BCIHL Standings at Mid-Way Mark

The VIU Mariners have been the team to beat through the first half of the 2025/26 BCIHL season, holding a 9-1-0-1 record. So far, Okanagan and Logan Lake have been the teams to get the better of the Mariners, both road games back in October, meaning the Mariners are riding a 7 game win streak and have been perfect at home going into the second half. 

Senior Ethan Jones leads VIU with 25 points in 11 games, while Carson Erhardt leads the team in goals with 12. Rookie netminder Connor Stojan has fared well in his early BCIHL tenure with a 1.98 GAA and .933 SV% through 3 games, while Matthew Fleet has carried the bulk of the workload earning a 4-1 record with 1 shutout. 

Defending BCIHL champs UVIC sit in second place with a 7-2-0 record, setting up for a third year of exhilarating playoff action between the two island teams. 

The BCIHL is preparing to announce the 2026 championship tournament schedule in the coming days, with games hosted at Queen's Park Arena in New Westminster. Keep an eye on www.bcihl.ca for details.
