National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is on September 30^th and the KJHL wants to honour the children and survivors of residential schools.

This day honours the taken children and survivors of residential schools, their families and communities. Public commemoration of the tragic and painful history and ongoing impacts of residential schools is a vital component of the reconciliation process. On September 30th, we encourage everyone to wear an orange shirt to honor the experiences of indigenous peoples, celebrate resilience, and affirm a commitment that every child matters.
