As the 2018 Regular Season comes to a close with one more week of action, the only seed that has been determined is the 4th, which will be occupied by the Expos. The Brewers will clinch 1st place with a win over the resurgent Astros on Nip Night. If they falter then the winner of the Pirates/A's contest will earn the top seed and the loser of that game will drop to 3rd behind the Brewers. If the Brew Crew does win then the Pirates/A's victor will claim the 2nd slot. The aforementioned Astros will finish 6th unless they combine a win with a Twins loss; if that occurs they will vault into the #5 seed. At the bottom of the barrel are the Mets and Yankees - the winner of their stellar game will be 7th and the loser will be 8th.
