Cowichan Capitals Volunteers

The Cowichan Capitals Hockey Club is looking to add to our already great group of Volunteers for the upcoming 2014/2015 hockey season for all 28 home regular season games, as well as pre-season and playoff games to be played at the Island Savings Centre.
 
Our Volunteers are instrumental in the successful operation of the Cowichan Capitals. Our group is an outgoing and energetic group who enjoy interacting with fans and fellow volunteers in a pleasant and respectful manner while helping to enforce the regulations of the building and providing any help that may be needed to the public.
 
Volunteer positions include, but are not limited to:
- Pass Gates          - Goal Judge          - Ushers
- Souvenirs            - 50/50 Sales         - Program Sales
- Penalty Box          - Announcer          - Music
- Anthem Singer     - Mascot                - Mascot Handler
- Game Day Promotions/Intermission Events      - Booster Booth
 
VOLUNTEER APPLICANTS PLEASE NOTE:
 

• Not all applicants are accepted. Successful applicants will be contacted.
• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Must be able to interact with the public in a polite, respectful and friendly manner.
• Uniform jacket or vest will be supplied by the Cowichan Capitals. Black dress pants/shorts are recommended. Dark jeans without holes will be accepted.
• Closed toed shoes, no flip flops or sandals.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Varying volunteers will be required to arrive up to 75 minutes in advance to game time and remain up to 20 minutes following game completion.
   
• VOLUNTEERS WILL RECEIVE:
  - Uniform jacket or vest supplied by Cowichan Capitals
  - Name tag, with lanyard
  - Capitals Staff t-shirt to keep
  - 15% discount on all Capitals merchandise

Completed applications can be returned to the Cowichan Capitals Office located at the Island Savings Centre. Administration office hours are Tuesday to Friday from 9am-5:30pm. Applications can also be faxed to 250.748.9930 or emailed to gord.schmidt@cowichancapitals.com
