Capitals Add Adkins
- Submitted by
Duncan, BC - The Cowichan Capitals have acquired 20 year-old forward Josh Adkins from the Bulldogs completing a trade that saw Rhett Willcox sent to Alberni Valley last week.

Now in his third BCHL season, the Victoria native has 25 goals and 49 assists for 74 points in 135 games, all with the Bulldogs. So far this season Adkins has put up 12 goals and 16 assists for 28 points and 36 penalty minutes on pace for a career best year.

"Josh is an excellent two way forward that can play in all situations," said Capitals Head Coach and General Manager Bob Beatty.

"I have always respected the way he competed against us. We expect he'll add grit, scoring, and leadership to our team."

At 6' and 191 pounds, Adkins can play a physical brand of hockey while also contributing in a big way on offence. He is expected to make his first appearance with the Capitals just after the Christmas break.

The Capitals would like to wish Josh a very warm welcome to the Cowichan Valley!
