FYI, a note from the City regarding who to call for TAM Turf and Park related issues.
"Brianna and I receive a lot of calls and emails daily regarding park issues that are unrelated to allocations and field bookings. We understand that many of these can be of an urgent nature however many are general concerns and issues you may have at your park.
Please note that our Call Centre takes calls up to 5:30 weekdays for any park issues that you may have. The number to call is 604-501-5050 or you can email to parks@surrey.ca
This would include service to/for;
- Repair to structures (i.e. bleachers, gates, backstops, washroom and changeroom facilities)
- Provide garbage cans or pick up service
- Field maintenance issues
- Irrigation issues
- Tree and weed/overgrowth issues
- Washroom supplies and cleaning
- Graffiti
The service request will go to the correct Parks staff person who then has to respond to the ‘order for work’ and all information is documented and stored in a data base.
This provides staff with a record of existing and recurring issues.
If you are unsure if the Service Request line is the correct number to call for your concern or if the matter is of an urgent nature, Brianna and I will still be happy to help or re-direct your request. The after hours emergency number is still 604-543-6700.
