Flame Eludes Lightning 140-133

The Phoenix Flame won its second straight game by downing the Arizona Lightning 140-133 Friday night at Grand Canyon University. Phoenix (6-6) got a strong game from Devin Greene as he led the Flame with 31 points, highlighted by 11-of-15 from the line. Jamal Livingston added 29, Del Summers chipped in 24 and Larry Morinia scored 20 to power the Flame to the win.

Arizona was led by Jerald Williams' game-high 37 including six three-pointers. Charles Gosa added 35 and Stephon Brandford chipped in 29 but the Lightning still fell seven points short.

The same two teams lock horns Saturday night at Grand Canyon University at 7pm.
