Okotoks, Ponoka and Red Deer came away with two points each on Sunday.

Okotoks (4) vs. Airdrie (3)

OKOTOKS – Kyle Harrison bagged the game winner 1:30 into overtime as the Okotoks Bisons edged the Airdrie Thunder 4-3 on Sunday afternoon.

Kody Briggs and Kyle Dunville each finished with a goal and assist for the Bisons (5-2-0), which got a 37-save performance from goaltender Devin Reagan.

Clay Murray had a pair of goals for the Thunder (6-1-1), while Benjamin Orde added a single.

Airdrie opened up a 3-1 lead after 20 minutes before Okotoks was able to claw back with a pair of second period tallies.

Ryan Simposon stopped 36-of-40 shots in the Airdrie crease.

Robbie McLean rounded out the scoring for the Bisons.

GAME SUMMARY

Red Deer (4) vs. Cochrane (1)

COCHRANE – Cole Sears turned aside 32 shots as the Red Deer Vipers took a 3-1 road win over the Cochrane Generals on Sunday evening.

Justin Pearup led the charge with a pair of goals for Red Deer (5-2-0), opening the scoring with the lone goal of the first period, before netting the 2-1 go-ahead goal on the power play with 5:49 remaining in the game.

Brody Kalinowski added an insurance marker, while Lane Sim bagged an empty-netter.

Braden Bain had the lone goal for Cochrane (4-4-0), which got 16 saves from goaltender Erik Garber.

GAME SUMMARY

Ponoka (9) vs. Medicine Hat (3)

MEDICINE HAT – Three different players had multi-goal games, while goaltender Keenan Starkell turned aside 39 shots as the Ponoka Stampeders skated to a 9-3 victory over the Medicine Hat Cubs.

Braden Klessens and Taite Opdendries each scored twice and setup two more, while Nate Higgins added a pair of goals of his own and one assist.

Kieran Bulloch, Branden Brockerville and Kacey Straub rounded out the scoring for Ponoka (1-6-1), which held leads of 1-0 after 20 minutes and 4-2 going into the third period, where they would find the back of the net five times.

Riley Florkowski, Joshua Schafer and Quinten Karg replied for the Cubs (4-3-0).
