HJHL Roundup: Siegle leads Wranglers to seventh straight win

Landon Siegle led the Blackfalds Wranglers to their seventh straight win on Tuesday.

STETTLER – A strong game from Landon Siegle propelled the Blackfalds Wranglers to their seventh straight victory as they defeated the Stettler Lightning by an 8-3 score on Tuesday evening.

Siegle pushed the pace for the Wranglers (7-1-0) offensively, scoring three times and setting up two others for a five-point night.

Shawn Rowe added two goals and one assist for Blackfalds, while Ryan Chambers chipped in with a goal and two helpers.

Tye Mulgrove scored twice for Stettler (2-7-1), which also got a single from Dylan Houston.

Lane Brann picked up the win between the pipes, stopping 30-of-33 shots in the Blackfalds crease, while Tyler Bell and Bronson Spearing rounded out the scoring.

The second period proved to be the difference as the teams were deadlocked 2-2 after 20 minutes before the Wrangler scored three unanswered in the middle frame to open up a three-goal lead going into the third period.

Brett Roper made 47 saves for Stettler.
