It was a night of the road warriors as visiting teams took all four games on Friday night in the HJHL.

Cochrane (4) vs. Okotoks (1)

OKOTOKS – Three power-play markers paced the Cochrane Generals to a 4-1 win over the Okotoks Bisons on Friday evening.

Brandon Aab and Slater Ransom led all skaters with a goal and two assists a piece, while Talus Hume and Austin Keller each finished with a goal and assist to round out the scoring for Cochrane (17-11-1).

Jaret Bordt had the lone goal for Okotoks (16-9-2), which have now dropped three straight.

Cochrane goaltender Knute Loe, as well as Okotoks goaltender Devin Reagan each finished with 45 saves on the night, however it was Loe that picked up the victory, improving to 4-1-0 on the season.

GAME SUMMARY

Mountainview (7) vs. Airdrie (6)

AIRDRIE – Colton Anderson had a goal and two helpers in regulation, then netted the shootout winner to propel the Mountainview Colts to a thrilling 7-6 win over the Airdrie Thunder.

Quintin Thorburn added two goals and one assists for the Colts (13-11-4), which have now won four straight.

Wyatt Gelinas, Josh Gette and Trey Wallace rounded out the Mountainview scoring, while goaltender Thomas Della Siega stopped 42-of-48 shots faced, as well as all three shootout attempts.

Rylan Plante-Crough led the charge for Airdrie (19-6-3), scoring twice and setting up two others, while Jackson Gibson, Matt Thomson, Benjamin Orde and Jacob MacDonald each added a single.

Ryan Simpson made 42 saves for the Thunder, which trailed 3-1 after 20 minutes before scoring four times in the middle stanza to make it a 5-5 game headed into the final frame.

GAME SUMMARY

Coaldale (7) vs. Medicine Hat (3)

MEDICINE HAT – A three-goal night off the stick of Jayden Bexte gave the Coaldale Copperheads the 7-3 win over the Medicine Hat Cubs.

Tyler Anderson, Levi Anderson and Sam Paskuski each finished the night with a goal and two helpers for the Copperheads (16-9-2), while Isiah Day Chief rounded out the scoring with a single.

Andrew Suriano recorded his seventh win of the season between the pipes for Coaldale, stopping 32 shots along the way.

Keenan Schaufele, Mackenzie Fritzler and Kaidin Hodgson had the goals for Medicine Hat (10-16-1), which held a 2-0 lead in the first period.

GAME SUMMARY

High River (4) vs. Strathmore (2)

STRATHMORE – Trailing 1-0 after 40 minutes, the High River Flyers found the back of the net four times in the final frame to take the 4-2 win over the Strathmore Wheatland Kings.

Josh Younker paced the way with a goal and two helpers for High River (17-10-3), which now have a two-point lead for the top spot in the Southern Division).

Davis Sheldon finished with three assists on the evening, while Connor Taylor, Devon Barlow and Joel Nalder each found the back of the net once.

Barlow tied the game with a power-play marker coming with 3:45 remaining in the game, while Nalder put the Flyers out in front just 1:01 later. Dylan Jensen made 24 saves to record the victory in net.

Chayse Hnatowich and Austin Holmes provided the offence for the Wheatland Kings (11-13-2), which got 29 saves from Indiana Kelly.
