Five points from Myatt forces Game 3 for Colts

Matthew Myatt scored twice, including the go-ahead goal in the third period as the Mountainview Colts forced a decisive Game 3 with a thrilling 6-5 victory in Game 2 on Saturday night.

With the game tied 5-5 after 40 minutes, Myatt found the back of the net on a shorthanded effort 4:59 into the final frame, while Thomas Della Siega would shut the door after that as he finished with 26 saves on the night.

Myatt added three assists, making it a five-point performance, while Colton Anderson had a goal and two helpers. Josh Gette, Alan Klinck and Quintin Thorburn rounded out the scoring for the Colts.

Jordan McCallum made 31 saves in the loss for the Lightning, which got goals from Erik Rost, Brendan Bardwell, Carter Cooke, Dylan Houston and Mark Bengert.

The win-or-go-home Game 3 of the series goes Sunday evening in Didsbury. Puck drop is at 5:00pm.
