Clay Murray scored three and setup another as the Airdrie Thunder skated to a 6-1 victory over their Blackfalds Wranglers on Friday night, evening up their best-of-five series at one game apiece.
Matt Thomson also had a big night for the Thunder, finding the back of the net twice, while assisting on another.
C.J. Wedenig made 25 saves in the Airdrie crease, while Jacob MacDonald rounded out the scoring with a single.
Braden Bystrom scored the lone goal for the Wranglers, which trailed 3-0 after 20 minutes and 5-1 going into the final frame.
Game 3 of the best-of-five series is slated for 3:30pm on Sunday, February 25 in Blackfalds.
