A 45-save performance from Chantz Vinck lifted the High River Flyers to a 5-1 win over the Coaldale Copperheads on Saturday evening.
The Flyers now lead the best-of-five series 2-1 and can close it out on Friday evening on home ice.
Connor Taylor and Davis Sheldon combined for eight points and provided all the goals for the Flyers. Taylor scored three times and added an assist, while Sheldon had two goals and two helpers.
Turner Sharp had the lone goal for Coaldale, which got 28 saves from netminder Nolan Berner.
High River led 2-0 after 20 minutes and 3-1 going into the final frame where they would put the game away with two goals from Sheldon.
Game 4 on Friday night gets going at 8:00pm at the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex.
