Seven different players found the back of the net as the Red Deer Vipers spread around their high-octane offence on Wednesday evening, skating to a 7-1 win over the Mountainview Colts in Game 3 of their best-of-five series.
Austin Thorne, Logan Linnell and Declan Johnston each finished with a goal and assist for the Vipers, which now hold a 2-1 series lead.
Lane Sim, Mack Differenz, Cooper Willms and Damien Chopek rounded out the Red Deer attack, which saw them take a 1-0 lead into a second period that would see them find the back of the net four times, making it a 5-1 game after 40 minutes.
Branden Bilodeau recorded the win between the pipes, stopping 17-of-18 shots fired his way.
Wyatt Gelinas tallied the lone goal for the Colts.
The Vipers can close out the series on Friday night in Didsbury. Game 4 gets underway at 8:00pm.
