Nolan Berner made 30 saves as the Coaldale Copperheads took Game 3 by a 3-1 score on Saturday evening, giving them a commanding 3-0 series lead over the Okotoks Bisons.
Brandyn Howg scored the lone goal of the first period, giving the Copperheads the 1-0 lead after 20 minutes, while Mitchell Konschuk made it a 2-0 game going into the third period with his second of the post-season.
Brandon Langridge rounded out the Copperheads attack.
Berner had 18 saves through 40 minutes and then 12 saves in the final frame but lost the shutout bid with just two seconds left on the clock on a goal from Bisons forward Ryan McLean.
Devin Reagan made 21 saves in the loss for Okotoks.
The Copperheads can close out the series on Monday evening in Okotoks at 8:00pm.
