STETTLER – Matt Sylvester scored twice, including the game winner with 46 seconds left in overtime as the Stettler Lightning came away with a thrilling 3-2 win over the Airdrie Thunder on Sunday evening.
Brendan Bardwell also tallied for the Lightning (4-3-0), which got 36 saves from goaltender Tanner Thomson.
After a scoreless first period, Andrew McLennan opened the scoring late in the middle stanza, while Clay Murray found the equalizer for the Thunder (6-1-2) with just 1:23 remaining in the third period to force overtime.
Kade Taplin took the loss in goal for the Thunder, stopping 31-of-34 shots along the way.
Blackfalds Wranglers (4)
Strathmore Wheatland Kings (3)
BLACKFALDS – Eric Moltzahn was the shootout hero as the Blackfalds Wranglers were 4-3 winners over the Strathmore Wheatland Kings on Sunday afternoon.
Kyle Comford and Garrett Glasman each scored once and setup another for the Wranglers (2-3-0), which have now won two in a row. Nicolas Herrebrugh made 26 saves in goal to earn the victory.
Zachary Meadows opened the scoring with just 26 seconds in the first period, giving the Wheatland Kings (2-4-1) a 1-0 lead off a shorthanded effort. Kristian Ayoungman also found the back of the net for Strathmore, his fifth tally of the season.
Brady Hoover stopped 37-of-40 shots faced in the Strathmore crease.
Coaldale Copperheads (3)
Three Hills Thrashers (2)
COALDALE – Brendon Benson’s power play marker with 3:07 remaining in the third period proved to be the game winner as the Coaldale Copperheads edged the Three Hills Thrashers by a 3-2 score on Sunday night.
Sam Paskuski and Jayden Smith also found the back of the net for the Copperheads (6-1-0), while Dylan Swanson made 24 saves in goal to grab the victory.
Ryan Spiller and Patrick Fougere provided the offence for the Thrashers (3-3-1), which got 41 saves from Greg Pols on the night.
Okotoks Bisons (7)

OKOTOKS – Seven different players found the back of the net, while goaltender Draven Rees stopped all 29 shots he faced as the Okotoks Bisons cruised to a 7-0 win over the High River Flyers on Sunday afternoon at Murray Arena.
Kyle Becker and Joshua McCulloch led the charge for the Bisons (5-3-0), each finishing the night with a goal and two helpers, while Tyler Rohl, Justin Russo, Jaret Bordt and Taylor McNeill each added a goal and assist.
Ryan McLean rounded out the scoring, tallying his second of the season for the Bisons, which held leads of 1-0 after 20 minutes and 5-0 going into the final frame.
Dakota Omura and Bryce Shegelski combined to make 40 saves in the Flyers’ (3-7-0) crease.
