PONOKA, AB – John Fallows stopped all 29 shots he faced as the Blackfalds Wranglers skated to their third straight win, defeating the Ponoka Stampeders by a 5-0 score on Wednesday evening.
Zane Bennett found the back of the net the net twice as the Wranglers (3-3-0) scored twice in the opening frame and then tacked on two more in the middle stanza.
Braden Bystrom, Garrett Glasman and Brenden Davidson also tallied for Blackfalds, which held a 33-29 shot advantage on the night.
Carter Gendreau stopped 11-of-15 shots in the Ponoka (1-6-0) crease before Zeke Leuck came in at the halfway mark of the game, making 17 saves in relief.
