OKOTOKS – Nate Higgins and Toran Corbier each scored twice and added an assist as the Ponoka Stampeders were 7-4 winners over the Okotoks Bisons on Friday night.

Dakota Sullivan, Taite Opdendries and Jordan Sears rounded out the Ponoka (5-12-2) scoring, while goaltender Robert Michetti turned aside 45 shots in net.

The Stampeders held leads of 2-0 after 20 minutes and 4-0 going into the final frame.

Connor Tudor finished with a goal and two helpers for the Bisons (10-8-0), while Taylor McNeill, Spencer Bender and Nicholas Murrell also found the back of the net.

Matthew McDonald took the loss between the pipes, making 54 saves on the night.

COCHRANE – Ryan Simpson stopped all 27 shots he faced as the Cochrane Generals blanked the Three Hills Thrashers by a 4-0 score on Friday evening.

Connor Rendell led the charge with a pair of goals, while also setting up another.

Michael Hodges and Austin Keller rounded out the Cochrane (19-2-0) scoring, each potting a single.

The Generals have now won eight straight contests.

HIGH RIVER – Six separate players found the back of the net as the Mountainview Colts used a balanced attack to skate to a 6-3 victory over the High River Flyers on Friday night.

Cale Brown and Josh Gette each finished with a goal and assist, while Reed Engman, Cole Sutherland, Alan Klinck and Raegen Keim rounded out the scoring for the Colts (13-2-2), each adding a single.

Josh Younker, Evan Pakkala and Michael Schaefer provided the offence for the Flyers (6-12-0), which got 27 saves from goaltender Bryce Shegelski.

Thomas Della Siega picked up the win between the Mountainview pipes, stopping 26-of-29 shots fired his way, while Colton Anderson led all skaters with three assists.

AIRDRIE – Dante Raposo scored three times in less than one minute en route to a five-goal performance as the Airdrie Thunder downed the Banff Bears by a 12-2 score on Friday evening.

Raposo scored once in the first period, added his second early in the middle stanza and then would score three times in just 41 seconds midway through the middle frame.

Zachary Giroux finished the night with a goal and four assists, while Mitchell Konschuk and Gavin Klein each found the back of the net twice.

Lukas Pollock and Kristopher LeClair rounded out the Airdrie (14-3-2) attack, while Joel Lepper stopped 23-of-25 shots between the pipes.

Alex Skinner and Ayrton Chapman each scored once for Banff (4-10-2).
