DIDSBURY – Evan Ingram scored twice and setup another as the Mountainview Colts prevailed with a 5-3 win over the Coaldale Copperheads on Friday night at the Didsbury Recreation Complex.
After a scoreless first period, Ingram would open the scoring with back-to-back goals, while Colton Anderson, Tyson Schmidt and Cole Sutherland added third period markers for the Colts (23-3-2), which got 30 saves from goaltender Thomas Della Siega.
Brady Parenteau and Clay Spencer each scored second period goals for the Copperheads (20-8-1), while Clay Vogt made it a 4-3 game late in the final frame.
Dylan Swanson turned aside 34 shots in the Coaldale crease.
Cochrane Generals (6)
Strathmore Wheatland Kings (3)
COCHRANE – A five-goal middle frame propelled the Cochrane Generals to their fourth straight win as they skated away with a 6-3 victory on home ice against the Strathmore Wheatland Kings on Friday evening.
Corey Goeson and Slater Ransom paced the attack for the Generals (24-4-1), each finding the back of the net twice, while Joey Stensland chipped in with a goal and assist.
Ryan Simpson stopped 24-of-27 shots faced between the barber poles for Cochrane, while Braden Bain rounded out the scoring with his seventh of the season.
Matt Thomson had a pair of goals for the Wheatland Kings (10-15-3), which held a 1-0 lead after 20 minutes and outscored Cochrane by a combined 2-1 in the first and final periods.
Brooker Pretty Youngman finished with a goal and assist, while Indiana Kelly made 54 saves in net.

HIGH RIVER – Daniel Nikiforov scored the winner in the fifth round of the shootout as the Banff Bears were 4-3 winners over the High River Flyers on Friday night.
Philip Schader scored twice for the Bears (7-18-2), including the equalizer with just 1:06 remaining to send the game to overtime.
Nathan Cohen-Wallis had the other Banff tally, while Michael Binczyk made 23 saves between the pipes, before stopping four-of-five High River (6-20-2) shootout attempts.
Michael McTighe, Austin McPhee and Kody Briggs each found the back of the net for the Flyers, which have now dropped 12 straight.
Bryce Shegelski stopped 32-of-35 shots between the pipes.

AIRDRIE – Three different players had multi-goal games as the Airdrie Thunder rolled to a 10-1 win over the Three Hills Thrashers on Friday evening at the Ron Ebbesen Arena.
Rylan Plante-Crough, Zachary Giroux and Dylan McCuaig each finished with a pair of goals, while Connor Boyd and Clay Murray each added a goal and three helpers apiece.
Malyk John and Mitchell Konschuk rounded out the Airdrie (22-6-2) scoring, while Kade Taplin got the win in net, making 30 saves on the night.
Tyler Newsham scored the lone goal for Three Hills (5-21-1), which sees their losing skid go to 14 games.
